We organize and host the foremost radiology CME meeting of the year, The National Diagnostic Imaging Symposium©, held annually at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, beginning each year on the Sunday following Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. The five-day comprehensive multi-track symposium covering ten radiology sub-specialties, taught by over forty faculty giving over one hundred in-depth lectures, is designed for diagnostic radiologists in both academic and clinical practice settings. 

The expanded 5-day focused emergency and trauma imaging track is incorporated in the National Diagnostic Imaging Symposium for an immersive educational experience which covers cutting-edge topics such as imaging techniques in trauma settings, rapid assessment and diagnosis of emergency conditions, and innovations in CT, MRI, and ultrasound for acute care. Real-world applications and case studies offer practical insights into the implementation of these techniques in clinical practice.

Join us for our dedicated “Breast Imaging” track at the National Diagnostic Imaging Symposium. Held at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Florida, this 3-day program promises to be an invaluable experience for radiologists seeking to enhance their expertise in breast imaging.  In addition to the 3-day symposium, we are offering two workshops on Wednesday and 1 on Thursday to enhance your breast imaging knowledge. These workshops which are supported by unrestricted grants provide in-depth hands-on study of the latest in breast imaging including contrast-enhanced mammography, automated breast ultrasound, breast biopsy and beyond. 

The 5-day dedicated Breast Imaging program at The National Diagnostic Imaging symposium is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the latest advancements in breast radiology and is designed to fulfill the breast imaging credits applicable to the MQSA accreditation requirements. Attendees will benefit from a blend of two and a half days of didactic lectures and interactive case sessions, all led by renowned experts from leading institutions. The ensuing breast workshops provide in-depth hands-on study of the latest in breast imaging including contrast-enhanced mammography, automated breast ultrasound, breast biopsy and beyond. This immersive 5-day educational experience will cover cutting-edge topics such as advanced imaging techniques, diagnosis of breast disease, innovations in mammography, MRI, and ultrasound for screening and diagnosis, as well as the full patient care pathway from screening to recovery. Real-world applications and case studies will offer practical insights into the implementation of these techniques in clinical practice.

National Diagnostic Imaging Symposium Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this Radiology CME activity, the participants will be able to:

1. Increase your diagnostic capabilities in multiple radiology subspecialties including Body Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Neuroradiology, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Ultrasound, Oncologic Imaging and Emergency Radiology.
2. Utilize CT and MRI to assess injury and disease in the brain, bony skeleton and internal organs and organs systems.
3. Effectively use MDCT and MR imaging to evaluate the GI tract including the liver, pancreas, spleen and bowel.
4. Plan the appropriate imaging of emergency department adult and pediatric patients, and understand how to optimize study interpretation and patient triage.
5. Understand how to interpret high-resolution CT (HRCT) scans for a range of interstitial lung diseases as well as how to use HRCT in patient management.
6. Understand how to utilize non-invasive imaging options such as CT, MR and ultrasound for the evaluation of cardiovascular diseases ranging from the coronary arteries to the aorta and to the carotid arteries.
7. Understand the role of CT and MRI for a range of neurologic pathologies ranging from stroke to tumor imaging.
8. Understand the role of ultrasound in current imaging paradigms and understand how to optimize protocols and scan interpretation.
9. Learn how to optimize scan protocols and learn about potential pitfalls in classic clinical applications including hematuria, GI bleeding and the incidental adrenal mass.
10. Enhance understanding of the use and limitations of PET/CT in current oncologic applications and its role with CT and MRI Imaging in clinical practice.
11. Learn the status of AI in radiology today – including its role in current clinical practice, as well as  its potential impact over the next few years.
